The Buffalo Museum of Science is the place to be for families in 2010 as two amazing exhibits roll into town. Sesame Street Presents: The Body will be on exhibit from February 27th to June 9th, followed quickly by robotic dinosaurs from June 26th through October 10th.

The Buffalo Zoo has seen some exciting additions to its lions and tigers and bears in recent years, including M&T Bank Rainforest Falls, an enclosed, year-round exhibit that brings visitors up close to vampire bats, anacondas, anteaters, piranhas and much more. 2010 will see the re-creation of a mid-19th century farm on the grounds of the Zoo. This homestead will feature a petting area with heritage breeds of domestic animals and include a replica of an Erie Canal lock and canalway.
At the Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park visitors are invited to tour the decks and hulls of a guided missile cruiser, destroyer and WWII submarine. It’s a hands-on experience like no other!

A ComedySportz match features two teams of improvisational 'actletes' competing for laughs and points based on audience suggestions. A referee keeps things moving along and calls penalties and fouls. An average of seven to ten Improv games are played during each match. Every show is different with different players, different games, and different audiences supplying new suggestions. The fans judge the scenes and games and ultimately decide the winners and losers. ComedySportz also asks willing volunteers to join in on the onstage fun for a game or two each match.

ERIE CANAL DISCOVERY CENTER

A new state-of-the-art interpretive center for the Erie Canal, focusing on the role that Lockport played in canal history, and featuring a 20' x 13' Raphael Beck mural, "The Opening of the Erie Canal, October 26, 1825." Lockport Cave & Underground Boat Ride

An interesting, 70 minue guided historical tour through America's past. You will explore the historic Erie Canal Locks 67-71 contructed in 1838, veiw ruins from an early industrail age, and your guide will rock in the mid-1800's, viewing stalactites, flowstone and other geological formations. You will also see artifacts left behind by the men who build the tunnel in the early days of the Erie Canal. Then you will ride in and underground boat.
