Visit Buffalo Niagara Seeks Community Input on New Wing Trail

| Press Releases

BUFFALO, NY  Oct. 16, 2017 – Buffalo Wing Trail Will Celebrate Buffalos Most Iconic Wing Spots

Few other cities in the world lay claim to a food as famous as Buffalo wings.

Visit Buffalo Niagara will be celebrating the wing in 2018 with the launch of the Buffalo Wing Trail, which will point visitors to the most iconic spots for wings around Buffalo. VBN is seeking community input as it determines which spots belong on the new tourism trail. Buffalonians who want to weigh in on the top spots wing aficionados should visit can vote at the following addresses:

Southtowns Restaurants

City Restaurants

Northtowns Restaurants

Mammosers

The voting results will be one factor VBN uses in determining the restaurants that will be included on the trail. The trail, which will highlight 12 different wing restaurants throughout Erie County, will be promoted through a variety of platforms, including a brochure, video and a section on VBN’s website and 2018 touring guide. It is being developed in consultation with “Wing King” Drew Cerza, founder of the National Buffalo Wing Festival, and will debut by the spring of 2018.

“The Buffalo Wing Trail will be a one-stop shop for visitors seeking out the most unique and extraordinary wing spots around Buffalo,” Visit Buffalo Niagara President and CEO Patrick Kaler said. “We’re going to make the most out of our signature culinary creation in 2018, and look forward to Buffalo’s assistance in determining the top spots for visitors to try.”

Visit Buffalo Niagara sells and markets our assets and attractions to visitors outside of the Buffalo Niagara region as a convention, tourism and leisure destination for the economic benefit of the community.
