In the interim, she sang on Whiteout Conditions, the 2017 release from the New Pornographers. The year before that, she released a vinyl box set of her solo work and joined the case/lang/veirs project.  She set to work on her next record looking for not just new stories but also new sounds. Hell-On is a record filled with love and rage and dangers that might lay waste to everything at any moment.

Buffalo Whiskey Riot

Whiskey Riot celebrates and encourages education on the storied history, production, and experience of whiskey and all its varieties.  Taste over 80 different whiskeys in a take-home tasting glass, learn about the ins and outs of whiskey from master distillers and brand ambassadors, and sip classic whiskey cocktails at three exclusive popup bars.  You’ll have access to hour-long Whiskey Riot seminars, hosted by whiskey masters. Two sessions: 1-4 PM, or 6-9 PM.  For those who love to dance, shop, and eat – there will be a live DJ, vendors, and food available for purchase.

Double Decker Bus-Murder Mystery Tour

This is a fully interactive evening of sleuthing.  You see the crime scene, you interview the witnesses, and you collect clues in order to solve this mystery.   The evening includes the murder mystery, double decker bus ride and stops at three historic taverns in Buffalo.

Friday Evenings: Killing at Buffalo Creek – This western themed murder mystery will keep you laughing and guessing about who ‘done in’ the stranger that came to town.

Saturday Evenings: Death at Doug’s Dive – It’s Buffalo’s notorious waterfront, circa 1860.  There’s trouble when Doug, the owner of the worst dive on the Erie Canal, is found dead.

The Lone Bellow (Acoustic) w/ Naia Izumi
