42nd Annual Telly Awards Recognizes Local Destination Marketing Organization

Buffalo, NY – Visit Buffalo Niagara (VBN), the lead marketing organization for Erie County’s visitor industry, announced today that it is the recipient of three Telly Awards in the 42nd annual Telly Awards competition. The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks and production companies, including Netflix, Dow Jones, A&E Networks, Hearst Media, Nickelodeon, ESPN Films and Vimeo.

“It’s extremely gratifying to receive validation of our work from such a prestigious international competition,” said Patrick Kaler, VBN President and CEO. “The Telly Awards represent the best work being done around the world and it’s a special feeling to know we are among such elite company.”  

The Telly Awards attracted more than 12,000 entries from top video content producers from all 50 states and five continents, including Adobe, Adult Swim, the BBC, CondéNast, J. Paul Getty Museum, PBS, Playstation, RadicalMedia, T Brand Studio, Ogilvy&Mather and The Walt Disney Company.

Visit Buffalo Niagara received awards for three productions:

A Silver Award for City in Motion, a fast-paced celebration of our city and region featuring time-lapse techniques.

A Silver Award for One of the Great Eating Cities, a video that tells the story of Buffalo’s dynamic culinary scene.

A Bronze Award for Come Back to the Comeback, a :30 Public Service Announcement encouraging the region’s consumers to buy local and support small businesses.
