Guillermo had just run his second Buffalo Marathon and was strolling Main Street with his family members – wife Rosa, and son Giancarlo. The family is from Watertown, outside of Boston, Massachusetts, and this was their second marathon-related family trip to Buffalo. “I love the course and the race itself is a great event,” Guillermo says. “It’s very well supported along the course and everyone is so welcoming – it’s impressive. They play the National Anthem and then that’s followed by fireworks, it’s emotional. I will definitely come back.” The family had visited the Buffalo Museum of Science this trip and Giancarlo commented on its collection. “They do a good job of organizing the museum, it’s very specific and each of the rooms has themes.” “People in Buffalo are very warm and friendly,” Rosa says. “We also went to Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House, their gardens are so beautiful and blooming. It’s a very restful space.” “I would recommend Buffalo Marathon to any runners,” Guillermo adds, “and Buffalo for families. This is such a fun and great event and city; I’m a regular Buffalonian now!”
