Wine and Wheels

Learn the basic techniques of the potter’s wheel. Throw your own cup, bowl, saucer, or whatever your heart and mind can dream up! Let your creative juices flow as the vino flows. Your evening will include:

two single-serve bottles of wine and one bottle of water
1.5 hours of unlimited throwing on the wheel with a clay instructor
Two best-pieces pottery to be glazed and fired, and ready for pick up in two weeks.

Participants will throw pottery on the wheel and then glaze it. Pottery will be fired in a kiln and then must be picked up at Artpark: Thursday, August 29 from 4-6PM.  Classes are 90 minutes long; select date and time when making your reservation.

Canal Fest 2024

Canal Fest of the Tonawanda’s is the largest outdoor festival of its kind!  Encompassing 2-square miles along the banks the Historic Erie Barge Canal, 
this family-focused, 8-day festival is shared by the Twin Cities of Tonawanda & North Tonawanda in beautiful Western New York.  Nearly 300,000 visitors each year are drawn to its attractions, food, live music and premier events.

Lancaster Garden Walk

Saturday, Jul. 20th - Sunday, Jul. 21st
Free; Fri: 8:45-11 PM, Sat & Sun: 10 AM-4:30 PM

Come see the landscapes of Lancaster as you visit volunteer gardens for the 20th straight year. Last year 37 gardeners participated in this event. Stroll through the Village of Lancaster Historic District, which boasts one of Erie County’s richest concentrations of residential and commercial buildings of significant architectural value.

Glen Park Art Festival

Come enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Glen Park in Williamsville. Over 140 artists, kid’s activities, food vendors. A great way to spend a summer’s day in Western New York with your family. Visit the Glen Park Art Festival! There will be over 140 booth artists, chalk artists, strolling entertainers, food from local restaurants, and children’s activities throughout the weekend! Make sure to come check us out on Saturday, July 27th and Sunday, July 28th from 10AM-5PM.

Erie County Fair 2024

Wednesday, Aug. 7th - Sunday, Aug. 18th
11 AM - 10 PM daily

The Erie County Fair, held annually is the largest fair of it’s kind in New York State, and the 3rd largest county fair in the nation.  It seeks to preserve and showcase our community’s agricultural traditions, talents, diversity and heritage.  Come view the live animals, and visit their caretakers.  Then head over to the James E. Strates Shows midway, with over 70 rides and 100 games.  Enjoy continual entertainment on a number of stages, then visit the food vendors, whose options range from the casual to the extraodinary!  Come for a day, or two, or more!

Beau Fleuve Music and Arts Celebration Weekend

Beau Fleuve has been attracting artists and visitors alike from across the region and abroad throughout New York State, Southern Ontario, and the Northeast to enjoy the festivities. The Annual Celebration has built a reputation and niche for hosting featuring nationally & internationally touring 
artist as their careers are ascending, such as Danielle Ponder, Benny the Butcher, Super American, DJ Shub, Venzella Joy, Zuri Appleby, Stove God Cooks, Eric Van Houten & more.

Some of the confirmed artists for this year’s Beau Fleuve Music & Arts Celebration is soft rock sibling band from New York City INFINITY SONG. With a blend of tight vocal harmonies, dreamy lyricism and sublime guitar riffs, the band creates a transcendent experience. Signed to ROC NATION in 2016, the group has massed millions of views and attention from some of Hollywood’s biggest names. Their 
sound has led many listeners to compare the band to legendary 70s groups such as Fifth Dimension, 
The Mamas and the Papas, and ABBA.

Also to mention from Mississippi, Country & Soul artist ELSIE, returning to kick the Party off from the Bronx Legendary DJ TED SMOOTH and Buffalo’s own Tiny the Dream and Nolo the Slayer. The full lineup will be announced in June.

Borderland Music and Arts Festival

The Borderland Music and Arts Festival celebrates the rich history and renaissance of the region with a 3-day music and cultural festival set in one of the most scenic and storied grounds in all of New York State, Knox Farm State Park.  Borderland will again, feature more than 20 bands throughout the two-day festival, with national and regional Americana and roots artists. Additionally, New York State craft beverages, artisan vendors, and a ‘maker’s fair’ with hands-on exhibitions from local craftsman will provide festival attendees with an immersive experience.
