Buffalo State Ice Arena

DESCRIPTION: Opened in 1991, the Ice Arena boasts seven locker rooms, a concession area, vending machines, a skate shop with sharpening and rentals, a 200' x 85' ice surface and a seating capacity of 1,800. The Ice Arena is the home rink for Buffalo State's men's and women's varsity hockey programs. The arena has served as a practice facility for the Buffalo Sabres and the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships. The arena is also home to the Buffalo Skating Club, the Erie County Metro Hockey League and several youth organizations. The arena is also a host site for the Western New York Federation High School Hockey League. The arena provides open skating, skate-n-shoot, and Learn-to-Skate programs, and skate rental to students, faculty and staff as well as the general public.
