You get great restaurants, delicious local specialties, wine trails, farmers markets, gourmet food shops, cooking classes, and, last but not least, pierogies.

Food lovers rejoice, because while we are justifiably proud of our chicken wings, there is so much more to the Buffalo culinary scene than hot sauce and blue cheese dressing. (Though the wings at the Anchor Bar should be on anyone’s list of essential Buffalo dining experiences.)
We love to eat around here, which shows in our wide range of restaurants, and sometimes in our waistlines. If you want fine dining we have everything from eclectic American fare at Tempo to classic French cuisine at Rue Franklin to the ultimate steaks at Buffalo Chop House to Alta Cucina at San Marco. The budget minded will enjoy our wide array of ethnic restaurants, satisfying a craving for Tandoori Chicken at India Gate, sushi at Kuni’s, or hummus at Falafel Bar. And don't forget to stop for some gelato at Dolci or the Chocolate Decadence cake at Sweet Tooth. You can even grab a to-die-for oatmeal cookie at Delish and then stick around for a cooking class.
What about those pierogies, you ask? Well, the Broadway Market offers a great variety of food shops under one roof, with Polish specialties that reflect its long heritage. But if you're looking for something a little more upscale try Premier Wines in nearby Kenmore for its vast selection of cheeses, wines and other gourmet treats. Or stop at the farmer’s markets on Main Street downtown or in the heart of the Elmwood Village on Bidwell Parkway for local produce, jams, salsas and pies right from the growers. The slow food movement is vocal here, encouraging everyone to enjoy the local bounty.
There are also wine tours, beer tours, cook offs and chef competitions that will keep the most die hard "foodie" entertained and well fed for days. Feed Your Soul is a new local venture that produces one-of-a-kind culinary events and exciting food adventures. Discover what makes our region a genuine gastronomic adventure through Feed Your Soul's outdoor dinners and farm excursions.
