Get a taste of Buffalo's haute cuisine this Labor Day weekend at the Buffalo Wing Festival! 40 tons of wings - from barbeque to suicidal - are waiting to be eaten! The festival kicks off Saturday, September 4 at Coca Cola Field, running from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday hours are 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The best and most innovative of Western New York visual art can be found this fall at Beyond/In Western New York 2010: Alternating Currents, a region-wide exhibition, featuring pieces by contemporary artists living and working in and around Buffalo. Organized by a collaboration of arts organizations, the prestigious exhibition explores the historical impact of power and energy on the WNY region. Highlights of the month-long event include the chance to meet local artists in their studios and watch artist Didier Pasquette walk a high-wire. The exhibition will open everywhere on September 23.
Curtain Up! is the Buffalo Niagara community’s celebration of the opening of the theatre season. Thousands will gather in downtown’s Theatre District to celebrate the city’s rich live theater scene.
