New Convention Center

A new Buffalo Niagara Convention Center presents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to grow our meetings and hospitality industry and revitalize the core of downtown Buffalo.

This proposed 450,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility will make Buffalo a more enticing destination for meetings, conventions and athletic events, generate more than $30 million in additional annual economic impact for surrounding hotels and restaurants and provide 200 new jobs. The current center’s demolition and redevelopment, including a 600+ parking structure, outdoor plaza space and reopening of a portion of Genesee Street, will have lasting benefits to downtown, as will the re-activation of the historic Statler Hotel, which will bring new life to one of downtown’s most iconic architectural landmarks.
