Michael Gelen at WNY Book Arts

The Western New York Book Arts Center invites the community to join us for an Artist Talk and Closing Reception featuring artist Michael Gelen on Saturday, December 7th, 2024. The Book Arts Center will be open from 10 am through 2 pm the reception will be held from 11 am to 1 pm with an artist talk at noon.

In addition to his work with the Irish Classical Theatre Company, Michael Gelen is an illustrator, graphic designer and teacher living and working in Buffalo, New York. For the past thirty years, under the name inkwell Studios, he has been creating commissioned artwork for a wide range of clients, including advertising agencies, universities, publishers and cultural institutions. This is a rare opportunity to engage with the artist in an intimate setting and gain a deeper understanding of his artistic process. The artist talk marks the closing of Gelen’s exhibition. Attendees will enjoy light refreshments and the chance to mingle with the artist and fellow art enthusiasts.
