Ice at Canalside

Lace up your skates (and you can rent them if you don’t own your own) and enjoy the fresh air on the rink.  Purchase your tickets and rent your skates inside the Honda Winter Pavillion. The rink also features a new fleet of inclusive skate walkers for learners of all ages and abilities.

Don’t feel like skating?Try curling, ice bikes or enjoy some time in an ice igloo – all available to rent.  Curling and the igloos are available for pre-reservation and walk up sales.

Lots of special activities are planned for opening day.

(Special Note: During the ongoing construction of Heritage Point adjacent to the canal, Buffalo Waterfront encourages guests to enter the rink through the elevated pedestrian walkway at the Explore & More Children’s Museum entrance off Marine Drive and walk across the bridge over the rink to the Pavilion. Visitors may also enter through the walkway along Main Street or by entering from Marine Drive by the lower level of Explore & More.) The rink is easily accessible from the NFTA Metro Rail’s Erie Canal Harbor Station stop, with Canalside-area parking ramps and surface lots available as well.
