Blazing blues-rock guitarist Chris Duarte has been tearing up stages since the ’90s Austin scene, drawing comparisons to Stevie Ray Vaughan with his raw, physical playing style and jaw-dropping solos. His breakout album Texas Sugar Strat Magik sold over 100,000 copies, earning him Guitar Player’s “Best New Talent” and placing him alongside legends like Clapton and B.B. King. Now, nearly 30 years and 15 albums later, Duarte returns to form with Ain’t Giving Up a gritty, live-tracked album produced by Dennis Herring (who helmed Texas Sugar). Known for his “punk blues” energy, over 150 shows a year, and fearless musical exploration, Duarte continues to push Texas blues into bold new territory while staying true to the roots that made him a fan favorite around the world.
