Word continues to spread about Buffalo’s renaissance in other cities! The last 24 hours have seen a flurry of new articles out of Columbus, Pittsburgh and Toronto raving about Buffalo’s culinary and craft beer scenes and attractions.
Pittsburgh, Pa. woke up to this great feature from eatPGH, a leading food blog there that covered what to see and do and eat and drink in a resurgent Buffalo. The eatPGH blog team visited Buffalo in August and recommended everything from wings at Bar Bill to cocktails at Buffalo Proper, Dinner at Marble + Rye and Ted’s Hot Dogs.
“A mere three hours and 15 minutes away, Buffalo could very well become your go-to for weekend getaways,” eatPGH noted. “Why? Buffalo has a great energy and industrious spirit — good things are happening here.”
Down in Columbus, Ohio, the beer blog Drink Up Columbus penned this comprehensive feature on some of Buffalo’s best breweries craft cocktail bars and gastropubs, from Resurgence and Big Ditch to Flying Bison and Gene McCarthy’s. Author Cheryl Harrison visited at the end of July.
“Upscale gastropubs, hand-crafted cocktails and about a dozen breweries make Buffalo, New York worthy of some serious destination drinking,” Harrison said.
In Toronto, blogger Mardi Michels of eat. live. travel. write. praised Buffalo’s culinary and arts scene in this feature following a visit over Labor Day weekend, visiting The Black Sheep, Toutant, Public Espresso and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, among several other spots. And blogger Mary Chong of Calculatedtraveler.com raved about (716) Food & Sport in a post from earlier today.
Great to see the buzz about Buffalo continuing to build!
