Explore the BuffaSnow Art Trail!
During the February break, gather your family and friends and discover some of the coolest frozen art you’ll ever see at three sites across Erie County! We’ve teamed up with artist Eric Jones to debut the BuffaSNOW Art Trail, a series of colorized, larger than life snow sculptures on display free-of-charge at Chestnut Ridge County Park, The Buffalo Zoo, and the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. Celebrate winter in Buffalo and capture a social media moment at each of the following locations:

BEARBNB
The Buffalo Zoo, 300 Parkside Ave, Buffalo, NY (click for exact location)
Snap a photo with this scarf-wearing polar bear sitting on top of an igloo in front of the zoo’s parking lot along Parkside Avenue near Jewett Parkway. Bearbnb is in honor of zoo’s “Polar Bear Days,” a celebration of bears Luna and Sakari that includes discounted admission and special activities from Feb. 17 to 21.

TROPICAL PARAD-ICE
Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave, Buffalo, NY (click for exact location)
Admire a frozen replica of the Botanical Gardens within the traffic circle directly in front of the historic conservatory. Jones carved out a series of orchids sprouting from the snow sculpture to celebrate the Orchid Exhibit, currently on display inside the gardens until March 9.

MUGNIFICENT
Chestnut Ridge County Park, Orchard Park, NY (click for exact location)
This giant frozen mug of hot chocolate – complete with snowy marshmallows on top! – can be found at the top of Chestnut Ridge’s iconic sledding hill, situated in between the park’s casino and its historic toboggan chutes. Snap a photo there after a day of frozen thrills on the hill, then warm up by the fire with your own cup of hot chocolate inside the park’s casino building.
