100 American Craftsmen
An annual juried show of contemporary craft art held at the historic Kenan Center campus in Lockport. Noted as one of the top craft shows/festivals in New York State, and Buffalo Niagara’s only show dedicated to contemporary craft art featuring leather, glass, metal, clay, wood, basketry, fiber, paper and mixed media.
Always held the second weekend in June, this outdoor event features hundreds of artists and craftspeople. Thousands of visitors – from inside and outside the region – flock to the historic Allentown district to soak up the sun, admire fine crafts, and socialize. This is one of the largest and oldest outdoor art festivals in the United States.
This show features traditional, digital, and archaic processes from Buffalo’s large and active photographic community.
CEPA Biennial Photography Art Auction
This biennial event, a fundraiser featuring cutting-edge photographic work, is eagerly anticipated by anyone who collects contemporary art in the area.
Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts
It’s the ultimate combination: a vibrant art festival held in one of Buffalo’s most thriving neighborhoods. The Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts takes place held along Elmwood Avenue each August and features local artists and craftspeople, local food stands, children’s activities, and music and dance performances.
Each year, Hallwalls opens its gallery to share the work of our members. This gives everyone an opportunity to share what’s new in their work, amid a throng of other enthusiastic participants.
The exhibition can feature work in any media, style, with any content, from the conceptual to the formal to the personal to the political.
Music is Art
Music is Art Festival is one of Buffalo’s most extensive exhibitions of local music, dance and art. A staple of September in Buffalo, the festival at Delaware Park founded by Goo Goo Dolls bassist Robby Takac is part concert, bazaar, street fair and art gallery.
