I’ll be Home for Christmas

Home for the Holidays winner

The Jenning family of Orchard Park, N.Y. will be reunited this Christmas courtesy of The Buffalo Niagara CVB and Southwest Airlines. Patricia Jenning’s heartwarming story stood out among the nearly 100 entries we received to our Home for the Holidays contest and earned her two complimentary roundtrip tickets on Southwest Airlines. Welcome home A.J. and Lisa.

“Dear CVB: Both of my children were born right here in the City of Good Neighbors but unfortunately have moved away to Nashville, Tennessee and Denver, Colorado. Lisa is 30 and A.J.will be 28 on Christmas Day. A.J. was the best Christmas present I ever had and as he just moved away to Denver in August, he was not planning to come home for Christmas this year. It would be our first Christmas (and birthday) apart! Both kids love our Buffalo snow falls especially for the holidays. We live in Orchard Park and they look forward to seeing our village decorated in lighted wreaths and visiting decorated Green Lake and Chestnut Ridge Park not to mention all the warmth and joy exuded by everyone. Our family tradition is to make cut-out-cookies and we all enjoy decorating them (A.J. always does the best job). A.J. has a Fine Arts Degree and will also miss visiting the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. I'd be the happiest Mom if I could bring my kids home for the holidays and would love the opportunity to give them and myself the gift of a “VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS.”
