Rockettes at Shea’s

Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra

The BPO kicks off the winter at Shea’s Performing Arts Center, accompanying BalletMet for two performances of the Christmas Classic “The Nutcracker” on December 6th.  A holiday show for the entire family to enjoy, listen to the Orchestra perform Tchaikovsky like you’ve never heard it before. 

On Sunday, December 7th, the BPO will perform “Handel’s Messiah” at the stunning Our Lady of Victory Basilica in nearby Lackawanna.  Robert Franz will lead the BPO, the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus and distinguished soloists in this great holiday masterwork.

A Classical Christmas will take place Friday, December 12th and Saturday, December 13th with an offering of all-time seasonal favorites from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods.

A Visit From St. Nick-A Holiday Fantasy will take place December 14th.  It's a holiday concert for children of all ages! The Greater Buffalo Youth Ballet and the Magic Belles of Mount Mercy Academy join conductor Paul Ferington and the BPO for an afternoon of festive music, which includes a special sing-along led by Santa himself.

One of Buffalo’s favorite Christmas traditions returns December 19th-21st.  Don't miss the “Holiday Pops,” an exciting heart-warming concert that is always a favorite of audiences of all ages.  Robert Franz conducts the BPO, Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus and special guest Jodi Benson (voice of Ariel in Disney's The Little Mermaid) in this festive event, complete with audience sing-along and plenty of holiday cheer.
