Spend the day with your family outdoors at one of the largest harvest attractions in the state

The Great Pumpkin Farm Festival in the nearby town of Clarence runs daily through Halloween, from 10 a.m.-dusk. This annual fall celebration has dozens of attractions and activities for all ages centering around the season. Spend the day enjoying Autumn outdoors at this festival.

Activities for everyone include the cornmaze, a giant path in the cornfields carved in the shape of a witch and pumpkin. Children can visit two different petting zoos, containing exotic animals and traditional farm animals. Take a hayride with your family around the grounds or try your hand at the Pumpkin Cannon and launch pie-sized pumpkins thousands of feet into the woods. Play carnival games and ride the ferris wheel or one of the other Midways. Catch a magic show or get your face painted! And of course, there’s always plenty of food and refreshments available.

Visit the farm’s General Store, where you’ll find hundreds of Halloween decorations, handmade crafts and an old-fashioned candy store with everyone’s favorite treats. At the Pumpkin Palace Bakery, stop by for a slice of freshly baked pie, cookies and pastries. Enjoy dozens of home-style baked goods, holiday desserts and freshly picked apples.

And don’t forget your pumpkin! The Great Pumpkin Farm has hundreds of pumpkins, no matter what you’re looking for. From small pumpkins to paint to large pumpkins to carve, you may spend the entire day in the pumpkin patch!
