Antique boats. Classic cars. Great event.

B-52s at Rockin' at the Knox The 31st Annual Antique Boat Show and Raceboat Reunion will return September 5th-7th to Grand Island at the Buffalo Launch Club. A short 20 minute drive from Buffalo, the show features antique wooden boats, vintage race boats and a classic car show, and is one of the largest boat shows in the nation.

Friday afternoon kicks off the boat show with seminars from 12-4 p.m. Learn about hacker boats and the history of boats. Afterwards, enjoy a “Lockpat II” reception where you can enjoy a spectacular 1931 launching atmosphere, complete with Buffalo culinary delights, live music, movies and more. Reservations are required.

Saturday is the giant all-day boat show, from 10 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. See a great selection of cruisers, runabouts, outboards, race boats, skiffs, sailboats and canoes. This is an ACBS judged show with great awards. There will be a nautical vendor, a field of dreams with boats for sale, food and a kid’s camp. The expanded antique car show will also take place at the Launch Club that afternoon. There is no charge for either event.

The weekend’s activities will finish Sunday morning with the 9 a.m. “Round the Island Cruise” followed by the Awards Luncheon. For more information on the show, visit www.oldboatsbuffalo.org.
