“Tri” to have a little fun

Trimania 2008

“Trimania 2008” is the third installment of the legendary party

March 25, 2008 - “Trimania 2008” will take place Saturday, March 29th from 7 p.m. – 1 a.m.  Featuring bands, art and all–around mayhem, the third installment of “Trimania” promises to be the “monster” of them all.  Featuring five floors of a massive former windshield wiper factory, “Trimania” will take place at the Tri-Main Center at 2495 Main Street in Buffalo. 

“Trimania” is set to feature multiple rooms, each with a different form of visual and performing arts.   The Buffalo Arts Studio will feature DJ Zuk and DJ Rekha with basement bhangra from NYC.  The Main Stage will have various bands, including John and Mary and the Valkyries.  Four additional performance areas will showcase a cavalcade of local music and dance talent. The African Café will feature African drumming and will be selling refreshments with profits being donated to benefit a well-digging project in Nigeria. Other rooms will feature various dancers and dancing groups, spoken word, performance art and other media.  There will also be a cash bar and food stations. 

The pre-party for this event will take place at the Buffalo Arts Studio (in the Tri-Main Center) immediately preceding the event from 6-7 p.m.  The pre-party will feature wine, beer and hors d’oeuvres with entertainment by the Heather Connor Quartet.  Tickets are available for this event by calling 716-833-4450 ext. 13.

“Trimania 2008”is presented by the Buffalo Arts Studio, which provides regular public exposure for regional, national, and international artists through exhibitions and enriches the community with art classes, mural programs, and public art. Buffalo Arts Studio also provides affordable studio space for emerging artists.
