on where to stay, play, shop and eat!
Need directions to one of the many Buffalo Niagara attractions? Looking for a family friendly restaurant? Want to know what's currently appearing on stage? At a loss about where to stay while in town?
The Buffalo Niagara Convention and Visitors Bureau operates a Visitor Center where you'll find a friendly face, maps, brochures, souvenirs, schedules for upcoming events and directions to anywhere you'd like to go. Our representatives will answer any questions you may have about our city and region. Stop by and let us help you discover Buffalo and Niagara Falls!
The Visitor Center offers a wide variety of Buffalo and Western New York DVDs that are available for viewing. Visitors can view a short segment of Buffalo Stories which include stories about Frank Lloyd Wright, Buffalo’s Houses of Worship, Niagara Falls, Fort Niagara, East Aurora, Buffalo: A Sense of Place, Buffalo’s Architectural Treasures, Anchor Bar and Feel the Flavor. This is the perfect way to start your visit around town. DVDs can be viewed for free in our Star Theatre. We also have internet capability and have the capacity for PowerPoint presentations. This is a great way for school groups to learn about downtown Buffalo’s architecture.

Buffalo is accessible from throughout the United States via the New York State Thruway (I-90), from Canada via the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) and by railroad via Amtrak from Chicago and New York City.
Buffalo Niagara International Airport is located just fifteen minutes east of downtown Buffalo. Averaging 110 daily flights with nonstop service to 18 cities, the BNIA serve five million passengers annually. Major carriers are US Airways, Continental, American, Northwest, United jetBlue, Southwest and Delta.

Averaging approximately 110 daily flights, it offers nonstop service to 18 cities. In 2006, the airport served more than five million passengers, marking the third year in a row that the growth has exceeded the national average. Getting Around
Getting around Buffalo and its suburbs is easy using the Metro Bus and Rail system. The Metro Rail runs along Main Street from HSBC Arena to the South Campus of the University at Buffalo, with several stops in between. The train is free while traveling above ground. However, if your ride takes you past the Theatre District, down into the subway, there is a charge. Bus stops are found on almost every City of Buffalo street corner and many other spots throughout the region. Bus schedules are available at all transportation centers, Buffalo Niagara Convention Center, Buffalo Niagara Visitor Center, many local banks or check out the NFTA web site at www.nfta.com.
