While I’m certainly not a fan of seeing the Christmas trees pop up at the department stores shortly after Halloween or hearing “Jingle Bells” on my car radio before the leaves have fallen off the trees, I am realistic about getting a jump on my Christmas shopping. So yes, it may still be November but time to get focused and potentially cross a few people off your list.
Here’s a few early shopping options for you to consider this weekend:
1. Winter Market at Horsefeathers
Head to Buffalo’s west side this Saturday and shop at over a dozen specialty vendors. Pick up a box of Blue Table Chocolates while you’re there. These artisanal confections are pure perfection and would make the perfect addition to your dessert table this Thanksgiving.
2. Christmas at Knox Farm Art & Craft Show
60 vendors are ready to entice you with their handmade wares at this annual holiday event Saturday and Sunday at Knox Farm in East Aurora. Forget the generic gift card this year and stock up on one-of-a-kind gifts for your loved ones.
3. Tonawanda Christmas at the Castle
This event is SO popular that over 11,000 people on Facebook have said they’re “interested” in attending! Be the first in line at 10am this Sunday. This beautiful former armory was built in 1897 and makes for the perfect backdrop for this holiday shopping soiree.
4. Buffalo Saturday Artisan Market
RiverWorks is the new home of the Market’s holiday edition offering tons of room for you and your friends to browse or buy from over 25 local vendors. Stick around for lunch or a cocktail to round out your Saturday!
Whether you visit one or all of the markets this weekend, spend your Saturday evening inside the KeyBank Center with a cold beer in hand watching the Buffalo Sabres take on the Florida Panthers. Raise your Labatts to a Sabres win (fingers crossed) and a solid start to your holiday shopping.
