Water Sports & Boating

Buffalo is pleasantly situated between two of the Great Lakes; Erie and Ontario. Weaving through the many state and local parks in the Buffalo Niagara region are a plethora of rivers, canals, streams and ponds. As you entrench yourself within this natural beauty you'll quickly forget you're just minutes away from a bustling city.

Historic waterways provide a humbling backdrop for small boaters and kayakers alike. The cool lake breezes offer a helping hand for sailing enthusiasts, and expert sailing schools offer instruction for those needing more than a friendly gust. PWC fanatics can ride the waves along the invisible border between the US and Canada on the Upper Niagara River. Across the entire geography, an outdoor world of serenity or adventure awaits you in Buffalo Niagara.

Oh, and you may think we forgot to mention Niagara Falls. Certainly not. But with its spiraling whirlpools weaving in and out of class six rapids, this world wonder is better enjoyed with a camera than a kayak.
