Buffalo Niagara offers a diverse mixture of public and private facilities that cater to the amateur golfer as well as the soon-to-be pro. Each year, as winter gives way to spring in early April, golfers renew their annual commitment to raise their game and lower their handicap. The season extends deep into the fall as players observe the course's lush green foliage turn to a sea of color.
Test your grit on the signature 11th hole at Holiday Valley Resort - a dogleg left Par 4 with a lateral hazard bordering a ravine on the left side and Out of Bounds on the right. The Links at Ivy Ridge, voted Best Public Golf Course in Western New York in 2008, features all the hallmarks of New York golf. But if it's a more casual outing you seek, play under the lights at Bob-O-Links Golf Club or in the heart of Buffalo at Frederick Law Olmsted's Delaware Park.
