The Shaw Festival – great theatre in the heart of Niagara Wine Country. Inspired by the wit and passion of Bernard Shaw, the Shaw Festival is a contemporary theatre that features a smart, provocative, potent and diverse mix of plays from the past and present, performed by our talented Acting Ensemble. The result is theatre that is entertaining, challenging, surprising and above all else … unique. Located in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, in the heart of Niagara wine country, The Shaw presents 10-12 plays in four theatres annually. The 2013 Season includes one of the greatest American musicals, GUYS AND DOLLS, Bernard Shaw’s classic MAJOR BARBARA, Oscar Wilde’s LADY WINDERMERE’S FAN and the Tony Award-winning musical THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA.
