It’s official; downtown Buffalo is cool, from the revival of Main Street to the shops at HarborCenter. Now’s the time to discover just what makes the city’s hidden gems shine so bright. Splurge on everything from statement necklaces at Red Siren and letterpress art at Western New York Book Arts Center to facials at Groom Service Beauty & Dry Bar and everything in between. Let downtown’s long awaited shopping renaissance begin!

How would you describe your personal style?
Style is knowing who you are, knowing what statement you want to make and then making it! While I love fashion, I dress according to MY mood – sometimes classic, sometimes daring and sexy and sometimes just for comfort. I love colorful and happy clothes!

Where are your favorite places to shop?
I love shopping for my favorite skin care lines at Groom Service in the Lafayette Hotel. A bottle of Susan Ciminelli’s Marine Lotion, and I’m in heaven! I’m also a fan of Everything Elmwood in the Elmwood Village. Great vibe, unique gifts and creative wrapping.

Buffalo-Sabres-Hockey.jpgA perfect day downtown includes:
Waking up to a view of the lake. Sharing a great meal with friends at my fave restaurant. Going to a Sabres game or rock concert at First Niagara Center.

Best cheap score of late?
A great Nicole Miller dress that was 60% off at Red Siren’s summer sale.

How do you tackle a neighborhood like Downtown?
I talk to the people and learn their best kept secrets! Then I go exploring.

Favorite restaurant?
Hutch’s. I love the food and the vibe in the bar room.
