MEDIA ADVISORY - June 16 & 17: Lake Erie Lacrosse Showcase and Festival

WHERE: Old Fort Niagara State Park in Youngstown, N.Y.
WHEN: Saturday, June 16, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sunday, June 17, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
WHY: The seventh annual Lake Erie Lacrosse Showcase and Festival will bring 72 youth teams from New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Ontario to town. Organizers are expecting 2,000 players and coaches to attend, resulting in an estimated economic impact of $547,142.
The tournament is focused on college recruitment and coaches from approximately 30 colleges, including SUNY Albany, SUNY Binghamton and Providence College, will be on hand to scout players.
Teams will compete in the following age categories:
- Under 17A / Elite
- Under 17B
- Under 15A
- Under 15B
- Under 15C
- Under 13A
- Under 13B
- Under 11

The Lake Erie Lacrosse Showcase and Festival is presented by the Buffalo Lacrosse Academy, Hickory Lacrosse, Brine and Warrior Lacrosse, with support from Buffalo Niagara Sports Commission, 24 Lacrosse and Travel Team USA.
