With so many delicious brunch spots to choose from, there’s never been a better time to explore the culinary scene in Buffalo with your closest friends and family.

Toutant

437 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, NY

When you walk through the doors of Toutant, you’re immediately greeted by their friendly hostess and their large bar area.  If you have time before you’re seated, I highly suggest ordering the frozen cocktail of the day. The second and third floors are the dining areas that provide guests with a quieter area to enjoy their food. I have yet to have a meal at Toutant that I don’t absolutely love and that includes the cocktails.  Their creamy shrimp and grits made with heirloom white corn grits, gulf shrimp, ham, and tomato broth will leave you trying to lick your plate clean. That’s where an order of the biscuits with jam comes in handy! Pair that with any of their Southern fixins and you’ll have yourself an amazing meal.

Billy Club

228 Allen Street, Buffalo, NY

Billy Club, tucked away on Allen, is a popular late night spot for cocktails, but in the daylight offers a wide array of classic brunch items like pancakes, omelettes, and steak and eggs, but with a refined, always-in-season twist. For something a bit on the lighter side, try their farm salad, with squash, manchego, pistachio, and roasted mushroom vinaigrette paired with a Roxbury cocktail made with Old Tom gin, Ambrato vermouth, pear, fennel, dandelion and burdock.

The Grange Community Kitchen

22 Main Street, Hamburg, NY

When I first visited the Grange, it felt more like I was hanging out in a friend’s beautiful apartment. Sunlight filled the entire restaurant, and their open kitchen concept with shelves filled with cookbooks makes you feel right at home. If you’re looking for a quick sandwich, it’s worth the trip out to Hamburg for their breakfast sausage, fried egg, cheddar, and charred pepper mayo on a biscuit. Or, take a seat and order one of their fresh made wood-fired pizzas – all constantly changing on a seasonal, rotating menu. Grab a warm cinnamon bun to go while you’re there!

Graylynn

537 Main Street, Buffalo, NY

Graylynn is located right in downtown Buffalo, near the Theater District, and is known for their gin selection and streetside patio. That transfers over to their brunch menu which consists of gin themed brunch cocktails like a build your own spritz menu, a Red Snapper with bloody mary mix and London dry gin or a Salty Dog with gin, fresh grapefruit juice, and a salted rim among other options. Of course, there is plenty of food to pair with your cocktails like their classic English breakfast with eggs, bacon, black pudding, baked beans, and toast or the fried mortadella with gruyere, Dijon mayo, and a fried egg, on a toasted roll.

Britesmith Brewing

Britesmith Brewing

5611 Main Street, Williamsville, NY

A brewery took over this historic stone building that was once an 1800s blacksmith shop, located in the Village of Williamsville near Glen Park. Britesmith has since been crafting their own creative beers, but their food is noteworthy, as well. Particularly their brunch. If you’re not a beer person, they have plenty of other brunch cocktails like espresso martinis, aperol spritz, and bloody caesars. Britesmith has their usual hard hitters on the menu like pretzels with beer cheese and hot mustard or onion dip to share, but they also have some brunch favorites like fresh cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting and their famous brunch pizza with garlic cream, soft scrambled eggs, potato, Swiss American cheese, house sausage, and scallions.

Betty’s

370 Virginia Street, Buffalo, NY

Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian or omnivore, Sunday brunch at Betty’s is for everyone. When a restaurant says they cater to any one and at any time, Betty’s actually delivers on that. This incredibly sweet restaurant has been a staple in Allentown for the last decade and the line out the door means they’re doing something right. From their fresh ingredients to the homemade baked goods to the perfect patio setting, add Betty’s to your must-try list.

Roost

Roost

1502 Niagara Street, Buffalo, NY

Bringing flair to Niagara Street, patrons entering Roost are immediately greeted by wall art and an open kitchen concept with the bar facing the food prep area. Their wide variety of pizzas didn’t disappoint! Loaded with toppings such as mushrooms and fonduta, lemon and ricotta, fig and prosciutto, and many more seasonal options, this was definitely a brunch for the books.

Panorama on Seven

95 Main Street, Buffalo, NY

Besides having incredible views of the waterfront and Canalside, Panorama on Seven has really made a name for themselves for having incredible food and cocktails. Their brunch menu is no exception, being offered on select special occasions like Easter and Mother’s Day. With plenty of fan favorites like eggs benedict, omelettes, waffles and more. Not to mention the essentials, like mimosas and Bloody Marys, and plenty of coffee.

Patina 250

250 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY

Patina 250 puts a lot of effort into sourcing locally grown, fresh ingredients and bringing new flavors to the table. That shows in their brunch menu, as well, with fresh dishes like the watermelon and feta panzanella with confit heirloom tomato, oil cured black olive, marinated feta, cucumber, garlic croutons, pickled onion, and aged sherry vinegar. For something a bit heavier, they have great options like crispy chicken and waffles or their chorizo tostada with blue corn tortilla, spicy black bean, cabbage curtido, chorizo vinaigrette, avocado purée, radish, Cotija cheese, cilantro, and fried eggs. For something on the sweet side, check out their banana cream cheesecake or the warm brioche cinnamon roll.

Falley Allen

204 Allen Street, Buffalo, NY

Falley Allen, named in memory of Lewis Falley Allen, serves many classic brunch favorites among some signature dishes. First of all, anyone who has $20 unlimited mimosas is OK in my book. In addition to the mimosas, they have plenty of brunch cocktails like their fresh cucumber vodka, strawberry, and basil drink. Falley Allen’s menu has delicious salads and sandwiches like the steak sandwich with banana peppers and provolone on garlic toast with a sunny side up egg. If you’re craving something sweet, they have an entire menu of sweet options including their crème brûlée French toast. Enough said.
